Rahimi continued, “There is an appropriate relation between Iran and Latin American countries in international communities in different fields including economic, political and cultural fields.

He went on to say,” We have enjoyed an appropriate relation with Cuba and Iran-Cuba 15th joint commission meeting on commerce will be held following the trip.”

He added, “The volume of the economic exchanges between the two countries is $60m and we will make our best to raise it to 10 times more through the talks between the officials of the two countries.”

As to his visit to Ecuador Rahimi said,” Our relation with the Latin American country is not a long one, though the relation between the presidents of the countries is suitable.”

He added, “We are due to meet with the officials of the country and discuss different issues including oil, gas and manufacturing power plant issues and sign different agreements.”
